Leaving a bequest ensures that the values and beliefs that you hold and share with the YWCA of Adelaide - advocacy, support, empowerment and leadership opportunities for young women – will continue and be passed on to future generations through programs such as:

Every year South Australians leave bequests to the YWCA of Adelaide.  It is with this generosity that we are able to continue running our fantastic programs.  When you put the YWCA of Adelaide in your will you are building a better tomorrow for the lives of many young women.

Words make a difference

In leaving a bequest it is important that all details are correct.  Our recommended wording is,

'I bequest to the Young Women's Christian Association of Adelaide of 17 Hutt Street Adelaide in the State of South Australia absolutely for its general purposes[(the whole) or (a specific amount or gift) or (a percentage) or (the residue)] of my estate free of all duties, and I declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other austhorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee or Executor.'
