Power of Programs: Indigenous Programs
Parental Engagement Program – Supporting Parents and Carers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Children.
This program is a culturally appropriate and community driven support program for Parents and Carers of 0-4 year old preschool ATSI children. The program aims to increase parental engagement, develop leadership capacity, and assist parenting competencies. It also supports children’s development and stregthens child/parent relationships with the aim of enhancing early learning opportunities and improving educational outcomes for ATSI children.
Workshops are based on the needs and wants of Parent and Carers and their children, participating in educational decision making, developing partnerships with education providers while building and maintaining early learning opportunities.
